About the Deck:
The Guiding Elements: An Ayurvedic Path
The Guiding Elements: an Ayurvedic Path is an interactive tool to help incorporate ancient healing practices into your everyday, modern life.
What is Ayurveda? Ayurveda is one of the oldest forms of medicine; it approaches health from a holistic, individualized perspective. Ayurveda originated in India over 5,000 years ago.
Ayurveda translates to the knowledge of life: “ayur” means life and “veda” means knowledge. Ayurveda is known as the “sister science” of Yoga, and the two combined create health and harmony in the mind, body, and spirit.
Looking at life through an Ayurvedic lens, we focus on the five elements inherent in everything: Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether (space). By understanding our relationship with the elements, we can better understand how to bring balance into our own lives.
The deck is composed of 65 beautifully illustrated cards, and the cards are divided into five primary categories which are reflected through each element. Grounding rituals are practiced through Earth. Reflection exercises emerge through Water. Life-force ingestion is balanced through Fire. Playful creation is expressed through Air. Sensory awakening is expanded with through Ether.
The elements touch on all aspects of our lives. This deck offers guidance on how to live harmoniously with the world around us.
The deck includes a guidebook which provides in-depth explanations of the meanings behind each card while providing you with practical explorations.
How to use cards: shuffle the deck and spread the cards in whichever way feels best to you. Choose one to three cards and practice the suggestions daily. You can practice these anywhere from one week to one month. The purpose is to help you implement them into your daily life. Each card is designed to bring you closer to living in alignment with your True Nature as you embrace every act as a sacred one.
We invite you to step into your power on your journey towards health and harmony.
